To quote the legendary tech analyst Walt Mossenberg, "It's all about the software stupid!" The iPhone OS is the best UI for a touch product on the market today, and Apple made the right choice in adapting it to the iPad. Windows 7 is not built for a touch device, and according to Ballmer, they won't make any changes to adapt it. Plus, a desktop OS makes the tablet clunky and slow. Have you seen the Archos demos?
