At Tech.Ed India 2009, there was a new Microsoftie wheeling around Hyderabad. It sang, spoke & even had the girls around it. Meet Microsoft Sam. Powered by .Net & made using Microsoft’s Robotic Studio 2008. Microsoft Sam is a robot from Microsoft Technology Center, Bangalore. You can watch an interview with him below.

Abhishek Baxi from Microsoft interviewing Rama from Microsoft’s Bangalore Technology Center. According to Rama, the robot can be made in 4 hours by anyone without any prior knowledge on how to program. All you need is Microsoft Robotics Studio & a bit of logic. Check it out:

Awesome to see such a smooth integration of HW and SW thru an operational robot..
I guess the potential application is only limited by one’s imagination…
