I just noticed that my Hotmail now shows me the web version of Live Messenger. Options to sign-in, change your status & access your Contacts. of course I haven’t tried chatting with someone on it. There is a useful option of “Signin automatically from this location” which is neat. Screen shot of the messenger:

Apparently, I don’t see the option on my profile page. Will wait for more updates on the same. From what I see the Messenger is availbale under:
- Hotmail
- People
Update: I only see the option for my account that is registered as US & not in the 1 registered as India for country.

I tried the whole thing in my hotmail account thing too. It is yet to catch up with Gtalk interface in Gmail in terms of usability. For instance, it does not show the names of online contacts and only notifies you when someone directly sends a message through chat.

Windows Live is a clear representation what Web 2.0 is all about. I really like the whole suite.. and with this feature added to Hotmail, it just keeps getting better. If only Microsoft could release Windows Live Suite for Mac too.. any information that is it being already done for Mac, Manan?

The messenger for Mac is being updated, though a Live Writer OS X version would be something cool. No news on that though.
