Putting a logo on the 2 pieces of hardware that you give in the package does not constitute to over branding. The Apple logo on the USB cable did not come across as over branding as a matter of fact it actually makes the cable special.

The thing is such cables which look exactly the same are available in the market, but it as this logo that gave the Apple cable authenticity, which now it loses.

The first thing I asked Preshit was that does his cable have the logo 'coz I feared I was duped.

I still have and use my plastic pieces for the higher purpose they are meant.

There is such a thing as overbranding. Use the apple logo everywhere, and the brand loses its value.

The coveres for the USB cable, well, do you really use them? The extra plastic, which while nice to see initially is just something that will go down in history as a piece of junk left behind by us.

The iPod cable is an *improvement* over the earlier ones. All the new iPods feature it. Works well with the iPhone 1G, but I did find I had to struggle when it came to the 3G.

The after sales thing sounds really horrible. I can't believe they've actually left you at the disposal of the carrier. FAIL! (that seems to be the latest word being thrown around)

I've not had any battery life issues, but then again, I'm not one to use the iPhone extensively all over the place (where no power supply is available). However, even if the bloody thing had 1 hour of battery life, I'd still go for it. No other phone compares.
