		<description>I use a method similar to this- I have the Google SMS channel and all, but for the feed, instead of using the official RSS replies feed (http://twitter.com/statuses/replies.rss) I use a Twitter search feed. Go to http://search.twitter.com/ and put in &#039;@username&#039;- In my case, &#039;@sengupta&#039;. 

As far as the merits and demerits are concerned- 

With this method, you get all tweets where you&#039;re mentioned, that is, you get tweets even if the &#039;@username&#039; bit is not the first word in the tweet.

With the RSS replies feed method, I believe you only get tweets where the &#039;@username&#039; bit is the first word in the tweet, ie. whatever is in your Twitter replies page. Correct me if I&#039;m wrong. 

I&#039;ve been using this method for a while. Like you mentioned, there is a perceptible time delay till the replied are received on the phone. But then again, you only get what you pay for;-)</description>
