Hello,

Thanks for posting such a great information on India railways, but I think the main issue with IRCTC is the REFUND.
The refund policy is very bad, it may take more then 3-4 months even after many followups via emails and even send a written complaint to the GM of Indian Railways.. This is the only drawback, our Govt. should take some action and improve the refund policy so that customer do not face at least refund problem.

What is going on with IRCTC? The irctc website shows ’’service unavailable’’, specifically during 8:00am to 8:30am quite regularly.

The excuse of server load can’t be accepted as if the authorities weren’t aware of the load while designing the site.
Specially for TATKAL bookings,its quite natural to have such load.

I smell foul play in this,
is that a tool to book all the TATKAL tickets before offering it to public?Its really pathetic to see that.
We need an updated-redefined website,is any one listening…..?

Thanks for the tip about loging only at 8:00 am and not at 7:59am for Tatkal bookings as it gives error message before that.However I would like to warn everyone here that Loging in at 8:00 am can be a real challange as the IRCTC site becomes extremely slow and by the time you are able to log in the Tatkal tickets gets sold out and you have to contened with Wit Listed tickets. Does any one have an idea how to overcome this issue ?
