PowerPC was NOT, I repeat, NOT made by Apple/IBM/Motorolla. Its IBM exclusive. POWER is IBM&#039;s own architecture and its widely used in IBM Servers. PowerPC is another IBM architecture for non server applications, and it still lives on in Xbox 360 and Sony Playstation 3.

What Apple and Motorolla did was help design the G-series processors, which were CPUs based on PowerPC architecture (the way AMD cpus are based on i686 and i686_64 architectures). This G sries was apple exclusive, so apple had total control of their products and I don&#039;t need to tell what that caused.</description>
